Make An Appointment?
A Doctor is on call daily to triage. The receptionist should obtain as much information as possible from the patient. The triage Doctor may phone the patient back to discuss and decide if an appointment is needed.
The Practice will endeavour to offer you an appointment at a time that suits the patient but this may not always be possible due to demand.
Patients can request their Doctor of choice but may have to wait longer for an appointment with a specific Doctor.
The doctors and nurses are available to offer telephone advice. You will be asked to leave your number for us to return your call.
Seeing The Doctor
The doctor can only be seen by appointment, which can be made with a receptionist, either by calling at the surgery or telephoning 028 8676 2995.
Please Make One Appointment Per Person.
Delays are caused for everyone if two people are seen at one appointment.
Cancellations
It is essential that you telephone if you cannot keep your appointment. Even at short notice we can usually allocate your appointment to someone else.
Emergencies/Urgent Care
For emergencies during surgery hours telephone 028 8676 2995 and press number 1 on your telephone. Between 8.30am and 5.30pm, urgent requests will be given prompt attention by the receptionists and the doctor will be informed. It will be necessary for the receptionist to ask details regarding the condition of the patient so the doctor can assess the urgency of the call. It may be necessary for the patient to attend the treatment room at a time specified by staff.
Consultations
The Practice would encourage patients aged over 75 years who have not attended the practice in the past three years to arrange an appointment with the Practice Nurse for a health check.
